'The royal family, seen from a Caribbean perspective', adult competition for artists and amateurs

Draw or paint a portrait of the Queen, prince Willem Alexander or princess Maxima.
The art work should have a minimum size of 16”x 20” or 40 cm x50 cm; The work must be framed to hang;
Only one entry per person is allowed; The artwork has to be delivered at the Philipsburg Jubilee Library on Saturday October 22nd, 2011, between 10 am. and 1 pm. we will not accept entries on any other day or time.

Dolphin Defenders and the Nature Foundation of St. Maarten has the honor of welcoming Ric O’Barry to St. Maarten on Monday October 10th. Ric is coming to St. Maarten and Saba to help us with our cause - prevent a dolphinarium on St. Maarten and have it written into country St. Maarten law that no marine mammal may be held in captivity in St. Maarten or its territorial waters for any reason whatsoever.

The Philipsburg Jubilee Library is once again hosting their book start campaign “Read to me”. The theme for this year is “Caring is sharing”. It will be a full week of educational fun and activities for (0-4) babies, toddlers, parents and their care givers. This campaign is being sponsored by Ennia Insurance, Manrique Capriles & Sons, NC Wathey Group of Companies, SIFMA, and Collective Prevention Services.
