Since its founding on November 23, 1923, the Sint Maarten Library has been a cornerstone of our community, championing literacy, education, and cultural preservation for over a century

Now, as we embark on a transformative journey to redefine our mission, vision, and services—and collaborate with the National Recovery Program Bureau (NRPB) to construct our "library of the future"—we seek passionate and creative individuals to join our board.

We are looking for board members to help guide the library through this significant phase and shape its future. We are particularly interested in candidates with backgrounds in finance, fundraising, project management, and organizational development. Please note that this position is voluntary and non-salaried.

Ideal candidates will have:
• Experience in finance, education, fundraising, or project management
• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience
• Board experience or a background in a managerial role (preferred)
• A high degree of integrity, dedication, and responsibility
• A commitment to active participation in board activities and decision-making
• The ability to dedicate time and effort to support the library's growth and success
