Power of Knowledge Series 2013

The series which will focus on the various issues the library thinks people in the community of St. Maarten are interested in such things as, your rights. Persons who are knowledgeable in these various areas of interest will come out and speak about the topic of the evening, which will then be followed by a question and answer session. LABOR Mr. Boasman, Head of the Department of Labor will discuss for 20-25 minutes workers’ rights and responsibilities, the types of work contracts, overtime & holiday compensations etc. IMMIGRATION Gwendolien Mossel, Coordinator of Policy for the Immigration & Border Protection (IBP) will discuss for 20-25 minutes procedures and tasks currently being done by IBPSession will end in a Q &A segment.
