Library building suffers from leakage

The library has a treasure chest of 62.380 books & DVDs, 9.254 members, 43.296 visitors over the course of 2015 alone. While the library is certainly important to promote reading, it is also a gateway for information, a trusted and safe place where the youth and the community at large can meet. With the changing demands of its users the library has been introducing new innovations. People are beginning to recognize this and the purpose of the library. But despite the growing awareness of the importance of the library to its community, its patrons are suffering from the deplorable state of the building, which dates back to the year 1984. Especially the bad shape of the flat roof covering is a problem. The entire building itself should be totally renovated or better yet renewed as it actually is a “semi-permanent” design and has been in use for more than 30 years.

Liccom has been providing very good assistance to the library for a few years with the abovementioned situation and has installed a new drain on the roof of the library and sealed a part of the roof free of charge. The library hopes other companies will follow the example of Liccom and sponsor the repairing of the rest of the roof and building.

The library is very grateful for the sponsorship by Liccom. However, there are still other parts of the roof that are in terrible need of being sealed until there will be funds for a new building.
